Hiking, Biking and Birding - Interpretive birding trek along the Lewis & Clark Trail/STEAMBOAT TRACE
Birds and bird songs identified along the trail plus tree identification and limestone carvings.

Eagle Watch -  4 hrs
Join us for a thrilling afternoon of watching eagles and other wildlife along the Missouri River. This winter past time includes primitive indoor accommodations and a "winter picnic" at the wildlife management area and is available in January only.  $39 per person

Shutterbugs: A hands on class for amateur photographers - 4 hrs
Kimberly and Paul Pate of Peru State College, will show you the basics of digital photography. Setting up the shot, use of lighting & flash. Additionally, learn the basics include how to download your digital images and manipulate them by using photo enhancing software. Participants will receive a free trial version of Photoshop Elements with demonstrations on how to enhance, crop, and size your photographs.

Trash to Treasures - 4 hrs
We’ll help you transform your “Flea Market Find” into a treasure From shutters to headboards, sticks to lamps and everything “outside the box”

BEHIND THE SCENES - 4 hrs  JUNE ONLY
A first hand look at what really happens "behind the scenes" as  wheat is ground into flour at Brownville Mills,  brooms are made by the broom squire at Country Brooms, watch a play rehearsal at the Brownville Village Theatre and grape production facility at Whiskey Run Creek Winery plus PICNIC IN THE PARK.

Morel Mushroom Hunt  (Spring only) 9am-1pm, 2pm-6pm  4 hrs
Sign up for our ½ day trek thru the bottom lands and woodlands of the Missouri River with our local guides in search of this springtime delicacy, the Morel Mushroom.   Mushroom Hunt, cleaning & preparing our "woodland delight" and Master Mushroom Hunter awards

Classes may be customized to fit your interest in groups of 4 or more.  We have field specialists at Peru State College, Brownville Cultural Tourism Committee, Natural Resource District, State Parks and local experts in their field who can be available with advance notice.
